Kalanjoor : The Youth Congress mandalam general secretary and 10 other party workers in Kalanjoor quit Congress to join CPI(M). Much of the Congress resignees came from Punnamood and Vaduthara in Kalanjoor panchayat where their families had been working for party for years.
Congress lacks clear policies at national level; In Kerala the Congress leadership trails after BJP for advancing communal agenda, said the party’s the mandalam vice president Libin. Among those severing longstanding Congress ties are: Akhil, Unmesh, Shibu Thomas, Prasad, Rekha, Tulasi and Eliath.
The reception held at Vaduthara was inaugurated by CPI(M) District Secretary Udhay Banu. Panchayat member San Hussain presided over the meeting. Also in attenance were : CPI(M) Area Committee Member S Reghu, Panchayat President TV Pushpavally, S Rajesh, PV Jaykumar, Kalanjoor Local Secetary M Manoj Kumar, Koodal Local Secretary Unmesh, and members V Rajan, Rajamani, Ramani, Sreedhar, Rajan, Harish Mukund, Sreehari and K Sunil Kumar.
