Congress Workers In Pattambi Beat Up Leader For Questioning Unauthorised Fund Collection

Pattambi : Congress workers beat up their Block office bearer for questioning unauthorised fund collection. Thrashed by his own kind was Pattambi Block Executive member, TP Abdurahaman, resident of  Thoroparambil in Kaariyannur, Pallipuram. He said it has been a while that there are collection rounds being made in the name of Congress. 'I questioned  Block secretary TS Nizar on this. That’s when I came to be attacked,' said Abdurahaman.

Abdurahaman said  a group riding on six bikes pursued him onway home after buying vegetables. The group, Abdurahaman said, carried iron pipes and other deadly weapons and close to Pump House in Kariyanoor, they pulled jostled him down from  bike and began thrashing.  He managed to head to his house, but the fellow workers persistid with the assault. Teeth was smashed out and there was blood from nose and mouth. Later, neighbours arrived at the scene to his rescue, said Abdurahaman.

Abdurahaman was hospitalised for three days following which, he lodged complaint with Thrithalaa police station. He accused Nizar of orchestrating the attack. Booked in the case are Congress leaderes Asti T Nizar, Ramdas Partoothoor, PT Shamsuddin, AP Unnikuttan, Akhil Paruroor, KV Subhash, Mudapakode, PV Nausyhad Mudappakode and another identifiable person.
