Kozhikode :A police officer was suspended for booking room, for himself and unidentified woman at a hotel, and then ducking out without paying for it. The incident took place on 10 May
The police officer at first claimed he was Sub Inspector at Town police station. The AC room rent was Rs 2500 while the cop had paid just Rs. 1000 and disappeared. The hotel manager contacted Town station blowing lid off the cop’s tryst and cheating on rent.
Suspended over the offence is City Traffic Grade SI Jayarajan. The City Police Commissioner Rajpal Meena ordered inquiry against the officer, entrusting Rural District Special Branch DySP with investigations.
