THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Individuals under observation for possible exposure to Covid-19 should follow instructions given by Health Department in strict adherence, urged Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. Being negligent could result in serious consequences to one’s health and that of others, CM said.
Potential patients who might be advised isolation at home should avoid mingling with other members of the household. Those providing care to such individuals should wear safety accessories like masks, gloves etc and avoid contact with body fluids of the subject. One should wash hands using soap before and after attending these individuals.
Also, masks and gloves should be properly disposed after one-time use. Clothes and other accessories of the patients should be washed using liquid bleach and subsequently sun-dried. Furniture used by the patients such as cot, table etc should be wiped clean using liquid bleach. No visitors should be allowed in any case.
A patient should never take off to hospital on their own. Rather he/she should get in touch with the Control Room and commute by transportation that would be arranged for. There is no cause to panic or fear. Those in doubt may contact Disha on 1056 or Control Room on 0471 2552056. Apart from Control Room, 24 hrs Call Centre is also available on 0471 2309250, 2309251, 2309252.
Small amount of negligence could pave way for serious problems. Therefore let us follow instructions strictly for our own safety and that of our family and community, said CM.
