The new infections today include 259 cases pertaining to travelers from states outside and 58 health workers.
No traveler from UK, South Africa or Brazil was diagnosed with covid-19 in the past 24 hours. Total covid caseload pertaining to incomers from UK figures at 105, of which 11 are the mutated variant type, 7 travelers from South Africa and 1 from Brazil have tested positive for coronavirus so far
Testing: 1,41,62,843 samples have been subject to testing in the pandemic so far, The test positivity rate today figured at 17.04%.

Quarantine: : A total of 2,18,542 people are under observation currently of whom, 10,539 remain quarantined various hospitals and the remaining 2,08,003 are being monitored in their homes/institutions. 1,677 people were newly admitted into hospitals during today for observation purposes.
Hotspots: : There were 18 new hotspots declared today, while 1 area was taken off the list. Total hotspots currently in the state : 452.
