The new infections today include 206 cases pertaining to travelers from states outside and 105 health workers.
No traveler from UK, South Africa or Brazil was diagnosed with covid-19 in the past 24 hours. Total covid caseload pertaining to incomers from UK figures at 108, of which 11 are the mutated variant type, 7 travelers from South Africa and 1 from Brazil have tested positive for coronavirus so far
Testing : 1,45,93,000 samples have been subject to testing in the pandemic so far, - up by 1,21,763 in the past 24 hours. The test positivity rate today figured at 18,41 %.

Quarantine: A total of 3,20,237 people are under observation currently of whom, 14,401 remain quarantined various hospitals and the remaining 3,05,836 are being monitored in their homes/institutions. 2,580 people were newly admitted into hospitals during today for observation purposes.
Hotspots: There were 18 new hotspots declared today, while 1 area was taken off the list. Total hotspots currently in the state : 511.
