Kochi : The government maintained that costs of medical oxygen shall not be upped whatsoever - a stand it expressed in connection with petition filed by the Private Hospitals Association against oxygen distributors’ decision to raise prices.
The government told HC on Monday the Centre had issued order setting maximum price limits for medical oxygen.The state on its turn too issued notification setting maximum cost for supplies, it added. The government produced before court the copies of Centre’s order and its own notification. Its response came after the court asked for govt affidavit on the topic.
The Hospitals Association also submitted additional petition seeking for all oxygen distributors to join the plea.
