Kochi : The Magistrate Court on Saturday dismissed actor Dileep’s plea seeking exclusion from the list of accused, in the sensation actress assault case.
Prosecution argued there was enough evidence incriminating Dileep in the case, while the actor’s plea claimed none existed.
Dileep today made his appearance, before hearings on the case would commence. Such exemption could affect the case adversely, argued the prosecution. The Trial Court accepted prosecution argument on Dileep’s alleged involvement and dismissed the removal plea.
The hearings on the case, will commence Monday and all culprits are required to appear before the court then. Since the case comprises matters that could hurt the survivor’s privacy, the proceedings were held in closed court.
The case revolves around a popular actress, who was waylaid, abducted and sexually molested in a moving car by a gang of men allegedly hired by actor Dileep.
