Kochi : The High Court on Tuesday turned down Marunadan Malayali editor Shajan Scaria’s plea to block arrest against complaint lodged by MLA PV Sreenijan. The court adjourned Shajan’s anticipatory bail plea for hearing on Friday.
The court slammed Shajan saying his was not the kind of right media model. The petition was heard by Justice VG Arun. The Elamakara police had registered case against Shajan following complaint lodged by Kunnathunaadu MLA PV Sreenijan.
The Ernakulam District Court too had dismissed Shajan’s anticipatory bail recently. In the current case relating to MLA Sreenijan’s complaint, the High Court said, a decision will be taken only after viewing the video in question.
