THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Kottayam and Idduki have been shifted to red zone, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan disclosed in the press meet Monday evening. The decision came about after these districts reported fresh infections, the minister added.
Additionally, Vandanmettu and Erattayattu, in Idukki and Aymanam, Velloor, Ayarkunnam, Talyolaprambu in Kottayam were declared hotspots.
Other districts in red zone include Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Malappuram. Incidentally, the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Thrissur and Wayanad do not have any Covid infection currently.
