Sandeep fell over and as he was trying to get up, the attackers stabbed him in the chest and back using knives. Sandeep also sustained hacks to his hand and legs.  By the time, locals rushed to screams from the crime scene, the assailants had already fled. Sandeep was rushed to the  hospital, but  succumbed to his injuries. The body stored at the hospital morgue will be autopsied Friday morning. Peringanra, where the RSS orchestrated the murder  is a locality with hardly any political conflict.

CPI(M)  will observe dawn-to-dusk hartal on Friday in protest of the killing in Thiruvala Municipality, Nirnam, Kadapra, nedumbra, Peringara and Kuttoor.

The CPI(M) State Secretariat condemned the RSS’s bloody campaign saying  the outfit sought to destroy peaceful atmosphere prevalent in state and terrorise the community. In its statement issued Friday, the State Secretariat demanded in-depth investigation that will bring forth all persons guilty of the crime.
