New Delhi : The CPI(M) Polit Bureau strongly condemned Governor RN Ravi’s action of sacking Minister Senthil Balaji from cabinet in Tamil Nadu and demanded that RN Ravi be removed from his post as Governor at the earliest. The Governor has no power to appoint or remove ministers without such recommendation from the Chief Minister. What RN Ravi did amounts to gross violation of the Constitution.
There is growing interference on part of RN Ravi in State politics and governmental affairs. While he has frozen the outrageous Order for minister’s removal, the incident shows he is not fit to hold the Constitutional post of Governor. Therefore, the President should becoming willing to recall the Governor, demanded Polit Bureau in its statement.
