Thiruvananthapuram  CP(M) will organise state-level seminar against implementation of Uniform Civil Code, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan. The seminar will inaugurate in Kozhikode and events in context shall be held at prominent centres across districts, said MV Govindan, adding that, anyone who is not communal-minded  would be invited to these programs.

Announcement of Uniform Civil Code for the country destroys India’s pluralism. It is RSS and Sangh Parivar that gives Prime Minister his makeovers  for this campaign . Congress is unable to take a consistent stand on the topic, MV Govindan told media.

Prime Minister’s proclamation of  implementing Uniform Civil Code is part of preparations to push the HIindutva agenda. Congress’s stand on the issue is bizarre. Position on Uniform Civil Code are in marked variance starting from All India level to the Party’s base  rungs. Leaders including Rahul Gandhi are unable to spell a clear stand. Some of Congress’s Ministers even support the Uniform Civil Code. Congress displays a rather opportunistic approach in this regard, said MV Govindan.

Samastha would be invited to the seminar. Will join all who can be agreed for in this regard, said MV Govindan at the press conference in Thiruvananthapuram.
