Kozhikode : For a DCC member in Balussery, grass on the saffron side is too green to resist. The mindset refers to Congress’s district committee member, Rajeevan, whose demeanor, according to sub rungs is increasing embarrassing for the party, the latest being attending RSS-organised Rakshabandhan Mahotsav The constituency committee complained the leader’s activities are detrimental to party’s unity. In any case, RSS mahotsav incident has proved too provocative to leaders who are currently mulling action against Rajeevan.
The said incident took place at Sree Sankara Vidya Mandiram where Rajeevan presided over the Rakshabandhan Mahotsav - one of cultural strategies employed by RSS to mobilise people using festival rituals.
Meanwhile, the district committee has directed sub units to keep Rajeevan out of party activities until a report is tabled.
