Kuttadi, KOZHIKODE  :  Police on Wednesday booked over 100 BJP workers for shouting death threats against Muslims during their pro-CAA Rashtra Raksha March.

Party workers were heard taunting “Don’t You Remember  What Happened in Gujarat ? “ – a reference to the 2002 Gujarat violence in which more than 2000 Muslims lost their lives.

Shops in the area had shut  down beforehand signaling their displeasure with BJP march. This apparently irked the saffrons.
The marchers let loose a volley of abuses against the minorities and shouted slogans powered to instigate communal violence.

DYFI Kunnummal Block Committee lodged a complaint with police seeking action against BJP men for attempting to incite religious hate and violence. Following this six men were taken into custody and over 100 booked for flouting death threats.

BJP General Secretary MT Ramesh, who inaugurated the march,  was visibly agitated in his speech.
