Idukki : A deputy Tehsildar was found dead inside his home in Idukki. The body was found in seated position around 10 pm last night. The deceased official is Abdul Salam(46)from Muttath Bungalow in Karunagapally.
In Idukki, Abdul Salam resided at a rented house in Cheruthoni’s Parema.When Abdul failed to respond to repeated phone calls, his relatives asked the house owner to check on him. That’s when Abdul was discovered dead seated on a chair.
It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest. The body was moved to Medical College. Police await postmortem even as they have begun investigations into the death.
Abdul Salam assumed office in Idukki only 20 days ago.
