Thiruvananthapuram : The Deshabhimani Literary awards for 2019 has been announced. Sachidanandan is winner in the poetry segment for his poem Birds Are Coming After Me(പക്ഷികൾ എന്റെ പിറകെ വരുന്നു). Ashokan Cheruvil gets the award for short story “Ashokan Cheruvil Collection of Stories(അശോകൻ ചരുവിലിന്റെ കഥകൾ ) and S Hareesh for his novel “Meesha ( beard)“.
The award selection committee comprised EP Rajgopalan , Dr. KP Mohanan and CP Abubacker in the poetry segment; M Mukundan, Vaishakan and PK Harikumar in the story segmentand TD Radhakrishnan, N Sasidharan and Dr,. Muse Mary George for selecting the best novelist.
