Thiruvananthapuram : Intense rainfall continues to wreck havoc across the state. With no respite seen anytime soon, Red Alert has been issued in 10 districts namely - Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur. Four others go under Orange alert. Meanwhile
Collectors declared holiday in their respective jurisdictions for all educational institutions in 12 districts, namely - Alappuzha, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Malappuram, Idukki, Pathanamthitta, Palakkad, Wayanad, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram. The holiday applies to professional colleges too in these districts.
Scheduled exams of MG, Calicut and Kerala Universities have been postponed.
