Thiruvananthapuram : In view of closely-paced murders in Alappuzha recently , the State DGP Anil Kant issued new guidelines for implementaion. That includes preparing of list of criminals in RSS and SDPI and others in the district having crimanal histroy. Criminals in hiding and those with pending warrants shall be rounded up and arrested. Those on bail shall be surveiled to find if they are violating their release terms. Pending cases shall be revived and re-examined for necessary action.
Persons who have participated in recent cases of murder shall be pulled up and so will those who have acted as accessories providing perpetrators with vehicles, weapons etc. Cases shall be registered against people who provided culprits with money or spaces to hide from law. Also, money trail, especially source to funds for criminals shall be tracked.
A lot of scommunal hate propaganda is circulating on social media. The district police chiefs have been instructed to trace their authors and take action against them. Also, social media groups that encourage such hate shall become booked. Cyber units across all districts have been told to constantly monitor social media exchanges.
Law and Order ADGP and Zonal IGs have been asked too submit weekly reports on implementation of the newl guidelines.
