Cheruthoni(IDUKKI): Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan handed over  Dheeraj Rajendran family-aid fund to  family members of the student martyr, at a public meeting  organised close to new bus stand 11 am this morning. CM also laid corner stone to martyr’s column for Dheeraj.

In early times, it was Congress that  plotted murders  of communist workers in the state. Numerous fell victims to their deadly stabbings.  That killing spree is on loose even now. Our establishment has had to endure  several unspeakable experiences and  onslaughts from the Congress, said CM.

Communists have had to endure much in jails, lockups and attacks outside. There are have been scores of goonda attacks perpetrated with connivance of the police. Lots of communist workers would be  brutalized in lockups on Congress instructions to police. Thy were hoping they could somehow to destroy the communist establishment totally.

In early days there never occurred armed attacks inside  campuses. It is Congress that set that precedent. Several students that  part of the progressive organisation fell victims to such attacks. Only that, the organisation at that time did not go by the name SFI. Scores of attacks were carried out in this manner.  One third of all slain  students died at hands of KSU and Congress.

The fund handed to Dheeraj’s family was raise by Idukki District Committee. Other leaders at the function comprised State Secretariat member KK Jaychandran, MM Mani MLA, Kannur District Secretary MV Jayarajan, Kollam District Secretary S Sudevn, State Committee member KP Mary, SFI State Secretary M Arsha, President K Anusree, District Secretary Tonny Kuryakode and President Leenu Jose.
