Thalassery : Police arrested 3 men from drug mafia for stabbing to death two persons, including CPI(M) Local Committee member. Taken into custody are : Thalasseri natives Jackson, Farhan and Naveen. The search for prime suspect Parayi Babu is underway.
The murders took place around last evening. Around 4 pm on Wednesday the assailants met K Khalid(52) and CPI(M) LC member Puvanozhi Shameer(40) at the hospital and talked them into coming outside before stabbing them to death, in revenge over questioning drug activity in the area.
Netoor native Shanibi(29) who was injured in the attack has been admitted to Thalasseri Co-operative Hospital.
