Thiruvananthapuram : The twin murders perpetrated by drug mafia in Thalasseri is shocking as much as it confrontational to the community, said Pinarayi Vijayan. Nettoor natives Shameer and Khalid were killed for questioning drug activity in the area The gruesome murders come amid government’s wide campaign against drugs and addiction. My condolences to friends and families of the deceased, said CM, adding that there will strict against those guilty.
The murders took place around last evening. Around 4 pm on Wednesday the assailants met K Khalid(52) and CPI(M) LC member Puvanozhi Shameer(40) at the hospital and talked them into coming outside before stabbing them to death, in revenge over questioning drug activity in the area.
Netoor native Shanibi(29) who was injured in the attack has been admitted to Thalasseri Co-operative Hospital.
