Thiruvananthapuram : As part of 10-Day 100-Projects Programme, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate E-health programme at 50 more hospitals, Virtual IT Cadre for all districts and 3 public health K-DISCprojects on Sunday the 22nd of November, 10.30 am at an event presided by health minister Veena George.
E-Health project will bring enormous transformation in the health sector, said minister Veena George. One citizen, one health record - that’s the goal E-Health aims to accomplish using information technology to facilitate linkage of various hospital systems. Under E-Health it would become possible to record into a single database, information on all treatments availed by a person from the time a person arrives at OP up until he leaves completing treatment. E-Health is currently operational at more than 300 hospitals
in the state and over 150 hospitals have completed process to commence E-Health, of which 50 hospitals drawn from various districts will become E-Health-enabled now. The added strength of 150 more hospitals commencing E-Health, reflects determination on part of the LDF govt, the minister said.
The districtwise split of hospitals slated for E-Health inaugural Sunday is : Thiruvananthapuram 11; Kollam 4; Pathanamthitta 4; Thrissur 5; Palakkad 11; Malappuram 11; Kannur 4.
