Kannur : ED is being allowed to run amok due BJP’s anxiety that it may not make it to power the third time, said Chief Minster Pinarayi Vijayan. ED raids recently were conducted simultaneously in four States ruled by Opposition Parties. It is glimpse to how BJP acts out in the changed scenario, said CM, speaking at family congregation in home constituency of Dharmadom.
People of this country have generally accepted that BJP’s return to power a third time would be irreversible danger. And, there’s wide sentiment that such scenario should be prevented. This is why the alliance of secular-minded came into being. We must make efforts to see that continued rule does not fall into hands of the BJP, said CM.
All over the country there are talks regarding bolstering the broader alliance. BJP has realised how another term would be impossible. The disillusionment triggers them to indulge in risky moves, said CM.
Recent raids are a reflection of that. More such moves could be expected. Even so , one should remember tht bringing just any Party to power is meaningless. It should be ensured, the front is not Sangh Parivar-minded. The Party in question should be committed to safeguard secularism and resist communalism. Congress has never been able to take that kind of strong or determined stand, said CM.
