Kochi The Kerala High Court restrained Enforcement Director from issuing further summons against KIIFB or former Finance Minister Thomas Isaac. The ruling by Bench headed by Justice VG Arun is valid for two months.
ED may go ahead with its probe, but no summons, the Bench clarified. The court took into account affidavit from KIIFB and Thomas Isaac on how ED’s endless summoning is disrupting infrastructure development in state also violates law, this despite fact that officials and Isaac have been subject to elaborate and frequent questioning by ED in the case already.
The Court also suo motu impleaded Reserve Bank of India as Additional Respondent. The case will be heard again next month 15th.
