Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Infrastructure Development Corporation(KINFRA)’s liability arising out of acquiring land for setting of Education Hub in Kannur’s Pinarayi shall be waived. The decision came at the cabinet meeting held earlier in the day. KIIFB had agreed to relinquish Rs 50 crore of KINFRA debt. In the wake of this, it has been decided to relieve KINFRA of its financial owings soon as it handed over land to the Higher Education dept. A total of 12.93 acres of land was acquired for setting up of the hub.
Beautification of Varkala Waterway
Rs 19.10 crore shall be spent for beautification of the 3.5 km stretch of West Coast canal between Arival and Thottathil in Varkala. KIIFB will give the in-principle nod toward this funding. The cabinet based its decision on the Concept Note prepared by Kerala Waterways and Infrastructure Limited(QUIL).
Administration Nod For Bethupara - Parapp Link Road
A revised approval from the Administration shall be given for the hillside highway project of Bethupaa - Parapp Link road, after including the stretch between Kolichal -Edaparambu road into it. This will not affect the total amount allocated for the State’s hillside highway projects.
