Palakkad : State Minister for Power K Krishnankuty indicated that water in dams were fast drying up and high consumption of electricity is resulting in power crunch. The crisis might necessitate regulation to power especially during peak hours. The matter shall be discussed with the Chief Minister, the minister said.
Purchasing electricity to address the situation would mean the Board will suffer huge losses. The Board in its meeting on 21st will discuss the topic again, the minister said. All amount due to rice growers shall be paid before Onam, he added, speaking with reporters in Chitoor
