Thiruvananthapuram : The excitement of the 2nd Pinarayi government’s oath taking should be celebrated indoors this time, urged LDF Convener A. Vijayaraghavan.
Everybody knows the day is one of excitement and one doused in joy. However, given the pandemic conditions prevailing, it would do to arrange celebration inside of one’s home only. On the day marking a new era, all LDF workers and others should becoming willing to celebrate the moment with members at home, observing safe distancing and other covid protocols.
Traditionally, huge cerebrations are held along streets and outdoor venues to mark the swearing-in of new government, followed by reception to the new ministers. However, unfortunately circumstances don’t favour that kind of celebration and we should willingly acknowledge the reality.
The Opposition is jealous even as we only carry about our constitutional obligations. They are unable to bear LDF’s continued rule, the reason why UDF is boycotting the event. . Anyway, it is not possible to stall the swearing-in ceromony just because the former Opposition Leader cannot be the Chief Minister, said A. Vijayaraghavan on a light note.
