Salem : Six of a family including a one-year-old child were killed after the mini-van they were traveling in crashed onto the rear end of a parked truck in Salem. Two passengers survived the tragedy and are being treated at Salem Mohan Kumaramangalam Govt Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place early morning Wednesday at Sankari Bypass. The victims were identified as Selvaraj(50) from Kuttampalayam Harijan Collny in Perunthai, M Armukham(48), his wife Manjula(45), his wife Papapathy(40), R Sanjana(one year old) died. The survivors are Palaniswami’s daughter R Priya(21) and Armukham’s son Vignesh(25).
The accident occurred while returning to Salem after sorting out a family feud. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Shankari Sarkar Hospital for postmortem.
