Pathanamthitta : A man and his two daughters met with tragic end after the car they were traveling in veered out of control from over a bridge in Thiruvalla’s Vennikulam and plunged into the stream below. The deceased were identified as Pastor Chandy and his two daughters Feba and Blessy. The accident took place while Chandy attempted to overtake the private bus on the bridge at Kallupalam. The accident took place 7 am Monday morning.
The ill-fated car, an Alto, bears Trivandrum registration number KL 01 A/2102. Locals rushed to the spot almost immediately but it was too late when the passengers were pulled outside. They had all died. Suspecting there was another child inside, people in the neighbourhood carried out searches dowstream as far as Achankovil river.
The deceased are Idukki natives from Kumuli. Bodies are kept at Kumbanad hospital awaiting postmortem.
