Thiruvananthapuram : The Central government is stifling Kerala financially, said CPI(M) State Secretary MV Govindan, adding that, the Party will organise public protest against this kind of policy. Protest rally lasting week-long shall be held from the 11, the Party Secretary said,  speaking at a press conference in the capital.

The Centre is denying State the per capita revenue owed to it, thereby causing exchequer  loss to tune of Rs 18000 crores. GST compensation of Rs 12,000 given to the State is not being paid now. Revenue deficit figure stands at Rs 4000 crores. The Centre has also slashed the State’s borrowing limits. The  Centre is not forthcoming with funds the State requires to make market intervention  and the govt is struggling  to rein in inflation. Congress is not ready to react to Centre’s coercive stand. Public protests are plan to be held to confront Centre’s economic besiegement, said MV Govindan.

Saffronised books will come to be introduced as part  of curriculum revisal. This is why  RSS man was inducted into the Committee. The Sangh Parivar’s  end goal is riots, said MV Govindan.

A candidate can meet with just any individual during election. Sukumaran Nair’s statement of equidistance is not a fair one. Equidistance more than often times, is not  equal, jested MV Govindan.
