THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated Kerala’s tallest bridge in Ayamkadavu’s Uduma in Kasaragod on Sunday. Dedicating the structure to the people, the minister said "Development projects will take off as charted though State is faced with monetary constraints." Essential infrastructure comprising roads and bridges will be completed within their timelines. Several projects considered shut earlier are progressing to their finish. The govt has spent Rs 20,000 crore to carry out constructions through its Public Works Department. Works for KIIFB nears completion, the minister said.
All construction projects allotted in the Budget shall be completed. Floods destroyed infrastructure to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore, in the state. Roads stretching 10,000 km were devastated by floods, the minister said.
The government’s New Building Project imbibes state-of-the-art methods to ensure high-quality in its constructions, CM added.
