Kochi : Police took four into custody for allegedly drugging and raping a model who arrived in the city for photoshoot. The accused were identified as Salim Kumar(33) from Alappuzha Arattupuzha Puthanparambu, lodge owner Christine, Shemir and Ajmal.
The victim is a 20-year-old Malappuram native. The sexual assaults took place on December1 and 2. She had arrived in the city for a photoshoot in Kakkanad. Salim Kumar, known to the victim before, , arranged for her stay at a lodge in Idachira.
With help from the lodge owner, the gang laced her drinks with sedatives and raped her. They took visuals of the assault and used it as threat for further confinement and assaults.
