Kochi : Police stumble upon more they were looking for in their probe on Saiju M Thankachan, relating to models’ deaths in car crash.
Pictures on Saiju mobile showed him doing drugs at various parties. His WhatsApp chats have been deciphered with incriminating evidences of consuming MDM, killing wild buffalo for meat while partying in the forest and various drug related acts.
One visual showed man more than one nibbling MDMA sprinkled on a woman’s body. The picture was shot a his flat in Chilavanoor and dated 6 September 2020. As per remand report, another party on the next day was attended by persons including Amal Papadavada,Naleen, Salahuddin, Moideen, Shinu and Meenu.
The mobile also held footage of party hosted by Febi, the owner of Audi car that Saiju rode on the day of . The party was held at a flat in Kakkanad and comprised attendees including a lady doctor. In a secret folder Crime Branch sleuths also came upon shots of unatural sex.
Partying after the accident too
Saiju hopped back into DJ party roughly half-an-hour after the fatal car crash at 12.30 am that killed former Miss Kerala Ansi Kabeer and pageant runner-up Anjana. Police suspect the move might have been for creating alibi.
Saiju is charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder for chasing after the models’ car causing the fatal crash. The driver who survived the accident testified to Saiju’s Audi car racing after them and his frantic bid to steer clear of the pursuit that ultimately caused the crash.
Police will bring in for questioning all persons identified in the dubious visuals. . Meanwhile, police have sought court to grant three more days of Saiju’s custody for questioning him further.
