Thiruvananthapuram: The general public will not agree with NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair’s standpoint, said CPI(M) Central Committee member AK Balan. The RSS motive behind the controversy is to stir up emotions focused on Lord Ganesha.
The Hindutva political agenda will be strongly resisted for. Speaker AN Shamseer’s words have been heavily distorted, said AK Balan, adding that this was his personal political opinion.
The Devaswom Board and temple authorities filed case claiming NSS has illegally occupied 68 acres of land in Palakkad belonging to Bhagavathy Temple in Chatankulangara. Sukumaran Nair should be first taking steps to restore the temple property which has Lord Ganesha as its main deity, said AK Balan.
