Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala bids farewell to its communist legend and heroic revolutionary KR Gouri Amma. Her body was laid at Ayyankali Auditorium in the capital for public homage where CPI(M) Secretariat Acting Secretary A. Vijay Ragahavan and Polit Bureau member M. A. Baby brought down the red flag in communist drape for the veteran.
Gauri Amma will be cremated 6 pm this evening at Alappuzha’s Chudukattil - , the final resting place for state’s martyrs. Strict protocol will be observed at venue with 300 persons in attendance.
Gouri Amma died early mornig 11th May at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram under treatment for age-related illnesses. She was 102.
