Kochi : The High Court on Tuesday clarified that Governor’s pleasure as laid down by Constitution, is in legal sense not in personal vein.
The court also observed that it is not Governor’s business to watch out for violations on part of legislators. The court observations came over petition challenging Governor’s removal of Senate members.
Context : The Governor had earlier bragged that CM only recommended ministers and that it is Governor that appoints them. Thus they may remain as ministers only at Governor’s pleasure and only up to to time that pleasure lasts, he had said.
