Kollam : There are set parameters for Governors leaving the state, said Goa Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai. There is no special law for Governors. However one should not cross the Lakshman Rekha. I feel there are occasional violations to that effect, which is why, I avoid attending some events, he added.
Sreedharan Pillai’s view were spelt without direct reference to Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan who spends much time outside the state.
On his part, Pillai said, he tries to spend maximum possible time inside Goa and that position of Governor must be utilised to benefit people as much as possible. Pillai was speaking at inaugural of award ceremony organised by Mahatama Gandhi Peace Foundation at the Kollam Press Club.
