Thiruvananthapuram : The government has not yielded to Governor’s remarks in the policy announcement, said CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. That, Govt is buckling under governor's criticism is media-created speculation. . All the same, it will be attempted to resolve the constitutional crisis surrounding the issue, said Kodiyeri, speaking at AKG Centre at inaugural of solar plant.

The party does not wish for any kind of friction between the government and the governor. Even so,  any attempt by Centre to use Governor as execution means shall be resisted for.  There is nothing wrong in having met with the Chief Minister prior to the Assembly. However, the governor should not interfere with matters faling under government purview.

Personal staff are being paid pension from 1994. All governments have approved the practice. Replacements occurring every two years is a false notion. If governor is collecting  records owing ignorance in the mater, there is nothing wrong. However, there’s going to be no  change on this account. Personal staff are a must  for running  affairs. This is why presidents at Corporations are provided personal staff as well.

When governor gets wrong on matters, CPI(M) has countered it. That will continue. The governor has not asked for removal of Public Administration Secretary. The governor rectified his earlier stand on his own. CPI(M) is of the view there is no need for a governor. The party has made this amply clear. However, since the post of governor is part of the country’s federal system, we go in line with that order, said Kodiyeri responding to media questions.
