Govt Will Take All Steps To Ensure Survivor Gets Justice : CM

Thiruvananthapuram : The government will take all necessary steps to ensure the survivor gets justice, said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The words of assurance came during a 15-mt meeting CM had with the survivor in the Secretariat chamber this Thursday morning 10 am.

The survivor expressed  concerns regarding certain aspects of the case. CM briefed her on all measures the govt took with regard to the case right from the beginning. The government has always stood on side of survivor and will continue so.  Action is sure follow in these kind of cases  howsoever well-connected the wrongdoers might be, said CM.

The decision to approach court did not come over any kind of lapse on part of the government, the survivor told CM. There was favourable gesture expected of the court on certain matters in the case.  The move is also meant to fetch more time for investigation, said the survivor, expressing thanks to the government and Chief Minister for standing by her side.

Soon after talks with survivor, CM called a meeting of police  and Crime Branch chiefs at the chamber, conveying to them  the survivor’s  and directions for further steps.
