KOCHI : A Division Bench at Kerala High Court on Wednesday upheld its Single Bench Order asking authorities to take over Kothamangalam Marthoma Cheriyapally Church and subsequently hand it over to the Orthodox faction. The order delivered by Single Bench is in compliance with law and needs no intervention thereof, observed judges in their verdict.
Further, the court said, the Single Bench ruling is consistent with Supreme Court precedent and the district administration is obliged to implement it. The Jacobite faction and State govt had approached the Division Bench challenging the church takeover as ruled by the Single Bench.
