Thriruvananthapuram : The agreement Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan signed during visit to UK is about to bear fruits. 1500 healthcare workers including 400 doctors will find jobs in UK in first phase. The categories comprise : doctors, nurses for specialty care, occupational therapists, pharmacists and social workers. NORKA ROOTS will conduct “Career Fayre Recruitment Mela” starting 21 to 25 at Ernakulam Taj Gateway Hotel in this regard.
NORKA Roots entered into partnership agreement with Humper and North Yorkshire Health and Care that renders national health services and Navigo that provides mental wellbeing care in the country. Aspirants are required to register with NORKA website before the 15th, stating job category, industry experience and proficiency in English.
For senior level jobs, though BSc/MSc nurses might not possess IELTS/OET clearance, they would still be considered eligible with NRIC certification. And for doctors without PLAB eligibility, they could still land the job on conditional basis. For proof of English proficiency it is essential to have CEFR level B2, C1 and C2. In senior level vacancies however, the recruits will have a four month probation during which to clear the IELTS/OET exams.
