Thiruvananthapuram : The Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) forecast possibility of heavy rain in several districts in State. Orange Alert has been issued for northern districts taking into account the likelihood of heavy downpours there. The districts are – Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod.
Warning for heavy rains are also issued to districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha. The rains are expected to continue in State up to Saturday. Scattered to widespread rains in range of 115.6 – 204.4 mm are forecast in coming 24 hours.
Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod have Yellow Alert for tomorrow, Friday, and Kasaragod too on Saturday.
