Pathanamthitta : The District Collector issued order prohibiting devotees from trekking to Sabarimala from Pampa after 3 pm Thursday. The order further requires all pilgrims to return to Sanidhanam by 6 pm and disperse to safe shelters.
Pathanamthitta has been clamped with Red Alert since noon today. The Collector’s order comes over forecast of heavy rainfall in Sabarimala region after noon. The National Disaster Force issued alert in this regard in view of pilgrims’ safety, the Collector said.
