Kochi : Several parts of Kochi are experiencing waterlogging from severe rains pounding the city.  Most major roads, including that of Jawaharlal Stadium, are inundated, leading to significant traffic snarls. The KSRTC bus stand too is waterlogged.

In the city’s south at Kathrikadavu, a tree fell uprooted disrupting road traffic there.  The tree lies across the lone    route for buses, including KSRTC, from Kathrikadavu to Ernakulam bus depot.

The tree fell on a passing  Omini van while it was narrow escape for the two autorickshaws that rode ahead of it.

Several lanes and service roads across the city remain submerged. Meanwhile, Fire Force team at Kathrikadavu has begun cutting of branches and trunk to haul away the fallen tree. Rains are intense in the city since 4 am morning although there is slight respite  as of now.
