Thiruvananthapuram ; The state cabinet on Wednesday decided to  provide job to widow of Junior Warrant officer , A. Pradeep, who was killed in the IAF helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu’s Conoor on 8th December. The cabinet also decided to pay his  family a sum of Rs 5 lakh in monetary help and another Rs 3 lakh from Chief Minister’s Disaster Fund toward medical expenses for the deceased soldier’s father.

Typically,  the next of kin to a deceased serviceman is considered for  job only if the concerned soldier is killed in war or similar circumstance. However, with view to extraordinary situation in which Pradeep lost his life, the cabinet approved the bequeathing of job to his widow and financial aid to the family.  Kerala recounts with foundness and pride the services that Pradeep rendered to Kerala.  He landed the Air Force job in 2004 after which he worked with various mission teams. Above all, Kerala recounts with gratitude how Pradeep volunteered services for Kerala when it was hit by historic floods in 2018, wrote CM on Facebook post.
