Kochi : The High Court on Thursday rejected Session Judge S. Krishnakumar’s plea seeking to stay his transfer. The Sessions Judge in his argument said the transfer is timed before his completion of three years as District Court Judge. Justice Krishnakumar further said he was due for retirement on May 31st of coming year and thereby had legal right to be allowed to remain as Sessions Judge at Kozhikode.
The transfer order came close on heels of government appeal to the High Court against Judge Krishnakumar’s controversial observation on victim and granting of bail for rape accused, Civic Chandran.
