New Delhi : The Supreme Court on Friday said it will hear Hijab-wearing related petition at an appropriate time. The ruling by Bench headed by Chief Justice came over plea seeking urgent hearing in the matter. The court said it has not yet viewed the Karnataka High Court verdict so far.
Developments in Karnataka are being monitored and protection shall be rendered if there be any injustice involved, the Bench said.
In their appeal with the apex court, the Muslim students had said the Karnataka High Court ruling that banned wearing of hijab until further order, infringed their fundamental right.
