Kochi : With heavy rains lashing the district, the Collector declared holiday on Thursday for all educational institutions including professional colleges in Ernakulam.
The decision comes as rains that began last night continuing without respite to the moment and with view to reduce risk of mishaps. Meanwhile, institutions that might have already begun classes, need not wind up and send students home, the Collector clarified.
