Huge Mahapanchayat at Kitlana Toll Plaza near Bhiwani: Vows to Intensify Farmers' Struggle

Today February 7, a massive Mahapanchayat was held near the Kitlana Toll Plaza near Bhiwani in Haryana. Thousands of farmers from several villages in Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri districts thronged the venue. They came from all religions, castes and communities and included thousands of women.

The Mahapanchayat was addressed by AIKS President Dr Ashok Dhawale, AIDWA Vice President Jagmati Sangwan and Independent MLA Balraj Kundu. Later it was also addressed by SKM leaders Rakesh Tikait, Darshan Pal and Balbir Singh Rajewal. It was presided over by Independent MLA Somvir Sangwan. Om Prakash, district leader of AIKS conducted the proceedings. 

Former CITU Delhi state secretary Jogendra  Sharma, AIKS Centre leader Manoj Kumar, AIKS Haryana state general secretary Sumit Singh and other leaders were present. 
 

The mass of farmers vowed to intensify the struggle manifold and unanimously adopted resolutions demanding repeal of the three Farm Laws, withdrawal of the Electricity Amendment Bill, a law to guarantee remunerative MSP and procurement, and an immediate end to government repression, including release of the farmers arrested and withdrawal of all cases.
